The new 54-apartment assisted living facility of Harbourway opened its doors to its first residents in October of 2007 on the 100-wooded acre campus of Atlantic Shores retirement community located on the shores of Redwing Lake in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

What is especially unique about Atlantic Shores is that while the residents of Harbourway itself rent their apartments on a monthly basis and receive all the services that come with it, the residents of Atlantic Shores are equity owners in the Atlantic Shores community developed with Virginia Beach Development Co., LLC. That is to say, we are locally owned and governed by people who have a personal and vested interest in the quality of care our Harbourway residents receive. In fact, many Atlantic Shores residents have already reserved apartments at Harbourway to meet their future needs.
