Denise Lasley
Resident Liason/Harbourway

Denise Lasley serves as Resident Liaison of Harbourway - - a 53 apartment home assisted living facility, and a 14-bed Memory Care unit located within the 100-acre Atlantic Shores Retirement Community in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

In this position, Denise is responsible for assisting residents during the move in process and helping them acclimating to their new home.  She also assists in the ongoing marketing process of Harbourway.

Denise joined the Atlantic Shores team in 2003 as a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A) in the facility’s Seaside Health Center (skilled nursing care).  Her skills rapidly advanced her to Team Leader for the Assistance in Living Program, prior to her promotion as the Resident Liaison for Harbourway.

Denise began her healthcare career as a caregiver for a family member and followed her ‘calling’ to assist the elderly as a care partner at Bay Lake Assisted Living. She obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant certificate from Bon Secours Nursing School, where she graduated as valedictorian and received the Patient Advocacy Award. 

Prior to her healthcare career, Denise served as the command Ombudsman for two years while stationed overseas in England with her husband. She advocated for Navy families, acting as a primary resource for assistance.  Denise enjoyed working with the base commander and traveling to London and Spain as a command representative.

Leigh Eddy
Associate Administrator

Leigh Eddy serves as Associate Administrator for the Atlantic Shores Retirement Community - - a 100-acre campus in Virginia Beach, Virginia, featuring a 50-bed skilled nursing facility, 53 apartment home assisted living facility, a 14-bed Memory Care unit, and more than 400 independent living units, ranging from apartment homes to freestanding villa homes.

In this position, Leigh is responsible for supporting the Administrator in daily operations and serving as designee in her absence.

Her career clinical experience includes inpatient medical-surgical, orthopedic, and adolescent and adult psychiatric nursing.  She served on or chaired numerous committees and projects including pharmacy and therapeutics, patient advocacy and education, facility safety, clinical utilization, work redesign, and information technology.

Her leadership experience began as a Nurse Manager at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital, and continued as the Administrative Director of the Virginia Beach Ambulatory Surgery Center, where she was responsible for all aspects of the business operations.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Virginia, and a Masters of Business Administration degree from Old Dominion University.

A native Virginian, Leigh has lived in Virginia Beach for most of her life, where she currently resides with her husband, Dana, and two daughters, Emily and Claire.  She enjoys cooking, gardening, gemology, theater and the fine arts.
